No Sex For You is a Swiss Rock band founded by Dominic Wieland (Dom) and Lara Sophie Schlüter (Lara), known for their innovative approach to rock, blending the styles of Nu-Metal, Alt Rock and Electronic rock that brings heavy elements with a modern yet unique twist. In August 2024, they hit #1 on the international charts in Chicago on the BMS radio show, and their release The End followed with another #1 in December 2024. Additionally, their track Undersold also reached #1 on BMS radio, further solidifying their place in the international music scene.

NSFY’s music is defined by its relentless experimentation with textures, dynamics, and effects, creating rich, high-energy soundscapes with minimal reliance on backing tracks. The band draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences, including Linkin Park, Royal Blood, Muse, System of a Down, Slipknot, I Prevail, and even experimental acts like Look Mum No Computer and Kraftwerk, resulting in a sound that blurs genre lines.

At the heart of NSFY’s sound are Dom and Lara, whose creative synergy drives the band forward.

Dom, the lead vocalist and guitarist, blends raspy rap, gritty vocals, screams, and clean singing, while also playing guitar, synths, DJ scratches, tracks, and samples—all with a raw and intense live energy. His stage presence is electric, whether he’s climbing structures, playing guitar upside down, or even lying on the turntables.

Lara adds powerful, effect-heavy bass lines, aggressive vocal screams, and dynamic backing vocals, adding depth and intensity to the band’s sound. Their collaboration results in a performance that’s both explosive and boundary-pushing.

The band’s live shows are further elevated by Gaspard, their drummer, whose drumming strengthens the band’s already powerful sound.

No Sex For You continues to carve their own path in the alternative rock scene, delivering an unforgettable musical experience that blends rock, metal, and electronic elements in a way that’s entirely their own.

Dominic Wieland

Dom is a Swiss musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and turntablist. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist and founder of No Sex For You, where he also handles electronic percussion and turntables. He is known for blending raspy slow/fast rap, gritty vocals, screams and clean singing in the band’s music as well as modulating vocals both live and in the studio. Dom is known for his intense live energy, always finding unique ways to hype the crowd—whether it’s climbing on stage structures, playing guitar upside down, or even laying on the turntables while singing.

Lara Sophie Schlüter

Lara is a Swiss musician, bassist, and co-founder of No Sex For You. Known for her high-energy presence both live and in the studio, she drives the band’s sound with powerful, effect-heavy bass lines that add depth and intensity. In addition to bass, she delivers aggressive vocal screams, backing vocals, and occasionally plays guitar, bringing versatility and raw energy to NSFY’s music and performances.

Why we are unique?

A New Approach to Heavy Music

NSFY isn’t just a band—it’s a sonic experiment in breaking the rules of rock and metal. Their music is defined by relentless experimentation with textures, dynamics, and effects, crafting massive, high-energy soundscapes without relying on traditional backing tracks. Drawing inspiration from Linkin Park, Royal Blood, Muse, System of a Down, Slipknot, I Prevail, and experimental pioneers like Look Mum No Computer and Kraftwerk, NSFY seamlessly blends rock, metal, and electronic elements into something entirely their own.

Instead of always sticking to the standard guitar-bass combo, NSFY sometimes layers two bass guitars to create an even heavier, more unique tone. This can be heard in tracks like Loose Time, where:

One bass is distorted and aggressive, replacing a guitar for a thicker, grittier tone.
One bass remains clean and deep, grounding the low-end with massive depth.
Whammy pedals, fuzz, layered octaves, and distortion further build a crushing, layered sound.

This bass-driven approach, combined with synth textures, creates an entirely new kind of weight and intensity in their music.

Glitch, Scratch, and Stutter: Warping Sound in Real-Time

NSFY isn’t just heavy—they manipulate sound in ways no other rock/metal band does live:

Stuttered and modulated guitars/basses run through a Korg Kaoss Pad, creating unpredictable, glitchy textures.
DJ scratching is incorporated into riffs, basslines, and even vocals, blending rock energy with turntable chaos.
Synths weave into the sound, sometimes as haunting atmospheres, sometimes as brutal, pulsing layers that enhance the heaviness.
Drums aren’t just played—they’re manipulated and modulated live, shifting from organic beats to electronic warps.
